Other Services
The Wash, Brush & Blow-Dry
This service is available for dogs with longer hair between grooming appointments or for owners who prefer not to wash their dogs at home.
It includes washing the dog with a show quality dog shampoo & conditioner using filtered water, removing all hair mats and tangles, brushing through the fur, blow drying the coat, and addressing specific grooming needs that may arise, such as trimming hair around the eyes and private areas.
The cost for this service will be approximately half of the full grooming price for your dog.
The Haircut Only
This option is available for regular clients once we have set up a grooming routine.
You bring your dog in after you have brushed and bathed them. If your dog is still wet when you arrive, we will dry them before starting the haircut.
The cost will be the full grooming price minus $25 to $30.
The Clean Feet
A basic foot trim is included in a regular haircut.
In addition, we offer a special "clean feet" service that includes extra trimming of the toes to give your dog that fancy poodle foot look.
The cost is $25.
Filing the Nails
This service is for nails that have grown too long. Because the quick (the sensitive part of the nail) grows along with the nail, you can only trim the dead part of the nail. This means the final nails may not be very short.
To help the quick move back and to gradually shorten the nails, it's best to use a dremel tool every 1 to 2 weeks, filing it close to the quick.
The cost for this service is $25.
The Shave Down
This is the last resort option for very matted dogs when dematting is not practical in terms of the time and the comfort of the dog.
The shave down service also includes the wash, and the nail clipping.
The cost is $60-$150 depending on the dog's size and the hair type.
The Grooming Tolerance Training
Many young dogs experience grooming anxiety, which can hinder the grooming process. To address this issue, a specialized training program is available to help build grooming tolerance in these dogs. This program is customized to suit the individual needs of each dog and involves a series of short training sessions combined with at-home practice. Typically, these training sessions last about 15 minutes and focus on specific areas of the dog’s body or particular aspects of grooming. For example, if a dog shows extreme sensitivity in its paws, the initial focus may be on behaviors such as comfortable blow-drying of the paws. Once the dog is accustomed to that, the training can progress to scissoring the paws, and eventually, using clippers for a clean trim around the toes. The duration of this training can vary, typically ranging from a few weeks to a few months, depending on the dog's progress. It is recommended that sessions occur 2 to 3 times per week to be most effective. The cost for each 15-minute session is $15.
